40 (tail scrap view) Albatros D III D.629/17, Ltn Karl Allmenroder, Jasta 11, Roucourt, May 1917 This view of the tail of Ltn Allmenroder's Albatros is intended to illustrate the characteristic style of Jasta markings instituted in mid-April 1917. Many D Ills had largely red fuselages and tails, with some small trim in another colour for personal identification (see Osprey Aircraft of the Aces 32 - Albatros Aces of World War 1). 41 (tail scrap view) Fokker D VII of Ltn d R Richard Wenzl, Jasta 6, Beugneux, June 1918 This view depicts the classic Jasta 6 tail markings, which were also applied to Ltn Schliewen's D VII.
