Lucchini's C.200 is seen in a typical Regia Aeronautica scheme of Giallo and Marrone Mimetico (yellow and brown) mottles over a Verde Mimetico (green) base. Most Macchi fighters wore this camouflage scheme during the spring-summer of 1941. The small red elephant painted beneath the cockpit was unique to aircraft of 90a Squadngtia, whilst the prancing horse emblem belonged to 10° Gruppo. Squadriglia markings were abolished from all 4" Stormo aircraft during the course of 1942, and the Giallo Cromo (chrome yellow) engine cowling became standard throughout the Regia Aeronautica between March and October 1941. Lucchini claimed four victories in the C.200 over Malta between June and September 1941.
